SEO Writing Internship - Paid

We are looking for a part-time SEO Writing Intern to join our team and write content briefs, SEO copy, and marketing content for our clients. This is a remote position. All applicants must be willing to work 16-24 hours per week between the hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST.
The ideal SEO Writing Intern will be someone who is excited to work with great client and agency teams to turn data-driven content strategy and big ideas into web content with impact. You will be able to work directly with senior members of the Fire&Spark team, championing content initiatives for our clients by helping to determine content topics, writing copy for the web, and content briefs to be spun into high-quality web content by specialized writers.
You will learn how data and creativity collide in the world of marketing and will gain a strong understanding of how your content prowess can unlock the door for countless opportunities in the worlds of SEO and content marketing.

Training
Our training program includes three components that combine to accelerate your learning opportunities and career growth.

Pairing with a senior digital strategist – One-on-one meetings with an experienced marketer to guide your learning and get your questions answered.
Hands-on work with our clients – You will work directly with our brand name or startup clients, delivering data-driven content strategy and web copy that they’ll be proud to display on their site.
Learning materials and certifications – Our structured curriculum is designed to help you acquire the knowledge you need to excel as an SEO content writer. Specific learning objectives: content strategy, content marketing, copywriting, project management, web analytics, search engine optimization, written/oral communication, market research.

In this role, you will:

Perform keyword and competitor research to develop content topic ideas
Write eCommerce copy to go on our clients’ product and collection pages
Prepare content briefs to be handed off to specialized writers
Write content for landing pages, articles, FAQs, and other kinds of high-value marketing content
Work with SEO strategists, project managers, and analysts to monitor, measure and analyze the performance of our clients’ content, communicating findings, insights and recommendations on a regular basis
Contribute to the development of comprehensive organic search (SEO) strategies based on client goals and objectives
Participate in regular team meetings
Work closely with our specialized content writers, reviewing their work and providing detailed feedback for revisions
Get exposure to clients in a wide range of industries, including luxury goods, consumer goods, SaaS, and Telehealth
Work with clients and teammates to implement and/or execute a digital content strategy that adheres to Fire&Spark best practices

Position Requirements

You must be available to work a minimum of 16-24 hours/week. Please apply to the appropriate job description.
We look for applicants who have exceptional writing skills and are detail-oriented with phenomenal communication skills (written and verbal).
Bonus points for those studying English, Writing, or Journalism, and those who have worked as College Writing Center tutors
Our ideal candidate has the ability to interpret and understand data—and then can turn on the creative side of their brain to determine ways to transform those data-driven insights into captivating web content.

Compensation: $15/hr
